Why do flight vouchers and deal site vouchers EXPIRE

Why a Voucher Expires

There are two types of vouchers,   FULL PRICE  and DISCOUNT or deal site vouchers.

A FULL PRICE voucher has an expiry date of 12 months which can then be extended for another 12 months free.
You can upgrade to a full priced flight ticket by paying the diferance in cost and you will get all the benefits of the full price ticket.

DISCOUNT vouchers supplied by ourselves or by any of the deal sites have varying expiry dates from 3 to 6 months.  That is, they are valid from date of purchase for 3 to 6 months, depending on their source.
When we offer a special price via a DISCOUNT, we are aiming to fill our available booking times for the next 3 or 6 months.  Therefore DISCOUNT vouchers are priced so that our running costs are covered over that period of validity.  Accordingly, if a person does not use a voucher within its period of validity, the purchase price has been used to cover our operating costs during that period and the voucher becomes invalid.
However, we have in place a revalidation mechanism whereby a voucher may be revalidated for 6 months from date of revalidation, or date of original voucher expiry, whichever occurs earliest.  This will be charged at our current running cost.
Our aim is to keep the simulator operating at capacity which enables us to keep prices down, and give people ample time to use their vouchers.
